About the Text to PDF converter
Paste text, get a real PDF. Lines are wrapped to the page width using genuine Helvetica metrics rather than a character-count guess, and content flows onto as many pages as it needs.
The PDF is written byte by byte in your browser. There is no rendering service and no upload, which is why it appears instantly and why the contents stay yours.
How the layout works
Text is set in Helvetica, one of the fourteen fonts every PDF reader is required to support, which is why the file stays small and opens identically everywhere.
Word wrapping measures each character against the real font metrics, so lines fill the column properly. Words longer than a whole line — long URLs, hashes — are broken rather than allowed to run off the page.
Your line breaks and blank lines are preserved, so indented lists and paragraph spacing survive.
Page setup
A4 is the standard nearly everywhere outside North America; US Letter is slightly wider and shorter. Margins are in points, where 72 points make an inch — the default 56 is a comfortable 20mm.
Landscape suits wide tabular text and log output.
Character support
The standard Helvetica encoding covers Western European languages, including accented characters and the euro sign. Characters outside that set — Cyrillic, Greek, CJK, emoji — are replaced with a question mark, because embedding a font for them would inflate the file enormously.

Can I choose a different font?
Not yet. Helvetica is built into every PDF reader, which keeps the output tiny and universally readable.
Will my formatting be preserved?
Line breaks and spacing are. Bold, italic and colour are not — plain text does not carry them. Use Markdown to PDF if you want structure.
Is the PDF searchable?
Yes. It contains real text, so it can be searched, selected and copied — it is not an image of text.
